Speaking out with others in the name of justice for all creation is a central tenet of St James’s mission. We commit to building partnerships and leaning deeply into solidarity with activists and truth-tellers.

We are living in the last days of the great festival of life on earth under a stable climate. Land, oceans and atmosphere are changing faster than our species has ever experienced. Our collective Kairos moment is now and it is calling insistently. Now is the time to step up and tell the truth about climate breakdown and ecological catastrophe.

In the words of Pope Francis, we need ‘a transformation of hearts and minds which both acknowledges our contribution to the social and ecological crises and commits to acting in ways that nurture communion: healing and renewing our common home.’
