Sacred Visions and Anger
As the 200th anniversary of William Blake’s death approaches, in a time when authentic prophetic voices are sorely needed, we ask who are Blake’s prophetic heirs?
This online event on Wednesday 13th May is the first of three online conversations exploring correspondences between Blake’s prophetic vision and that of indigenous peoples. The series is a collaboration between the St James’s Earth Justice team and the Blake Society and has its roots in Diane Pacitti’s article on this theme. You can read Diane’s article here.
This first event will be chaired by Diane Pacitti and feature Kate Rigby, Professor of Environmental Humanities at the University of Cologne and Craig Santos Perez, award-winning Chamoru poet who will read from his own work.
You can find lots more information about the event on the Blake Society website.
